One on One Movement Lessons
(For Infants Through Adults)
These lessons are tailored specifically to each individual, in order to maximize learning, growth, and progress. Each lesson is different, with many movement variations customized to the needs and skills level of each client. Clients are called “students” because the purpose of the sessions is to bring about transformation through experiential learning. Each lesson lasts about 30 – 45 minutes and they are scheduled hourly. Lessons are given at the Boulder NeuroWellness office in Niwot, Colorado.
These lessons are verbally guided by Barbara and can be done in small to medium size groups (2-25 people). They are usually done on the floor, in loose comfortable clothing, on a padded mat. There are hundreds of different movement lessons that focus on different functions and movement skills. Each lesson is structured to provide varied and sequential movements that give the brain the information it needs to create new, more skillful patterns. The movements are gentle, safe, and progress from very easy to more complex. Please contact Barbara for class locations and schedule.
Programs For Parents of Special Needs Children
Barbara and her Denver ABM colleague, Andrew Tarr, are developing a series of workshops for parents to provide information and tools for enhancing their child’s learning between ABM lessons. Contact Barbara if you are interested in upcoming offerings.
